Movies:

Ratatouille: Another Pixar movie that is great. It isn't the best of Brad Byrd's work, which I think is the Incredibles, but it is very good nonetheless. It's one of those movies that makes you say "I want to do that" at the end. For me, the "I want to do that" wasn't the cooking, but the eating. Going to a fancy restaurant and asking for the chef to surprise me. Let's kick it up a notch, BAM!

Music:

White Stripes, Icky Thump: They did it again. The White Stripes keep pushing out great music with such a small band. Though I hear a mariachi band had a part in some songs on this album. Definitely worth listening to. The only thing missing was the color red on their album cover, at least the CD had some on it.

Books:

Tatooine Ghost: If you haven't already guessed, this is a Star Wars book. It occurs after ROTJ, after Han and Leigha get married. They're on Tatooine looking for some painting. All in all, it was entertaining, but it referred to little things from the movies way too much. The writer forgot to add to the Star Wars Universe, he only borrowed from what was already there. You can be sure to see phrases like, "nerf herder," and "who's scuffy looking?" to name a couple. Which made the book seem a little cheesey. If you like reading a lot, and don't care how good the book is, this one is for you.

TV:

30 Rock: Everyone knows that Tina Fey is hilarious, so by the algebraic law of association, 30 Rock is hilarious too. One of my favorite things about the show is Tracy Morgan's character, Tracy Jordan. Basically he plays himself, which is funny, and he pulls it off really well. Alec Baldwin is also hilarious, I almost forgive him for trying to destroy the free world, a la Team America. Watch 30 Rock.

Video Games:

Guitar Hero 3: If you haven't already played this game, get down to best buy immediately! One of the most fun games of our times. On the wii, the guitar hooks up to the wii remote pretty cool just in itself. Shredding leads and killer bass will make you want to play this one for hours. It's pretty much a life taker (not suicide, just time). It is on all the systems, so nobody has an excuse not to get it and start rocking now.

Movies:

Casino Royale: I finally saw it, and I wasn't disappointed. This Bond was not as nice as most Bonds, but he sure kicked some hiney. With plenty of twists and turns and betrayals, it was definitely a Bond worth watching. It makes me wonder though if they can do it again, since he wont be a new guy anymore.

Music:

The Gorillaz: I've had this CD for quite a few years now, and it still rocks. It has a good mix of everything in it, some guitars, some raps, some drums, some synthesizers, you name it. It's fun to sing to also, if you can figure out what they say.

Books:

Between Worlds: This is one of those compilations of short stories that has some really good ones, and some really boring ones. If you like weird Sci-Fi stuff, this would be a good one for you. But you don't have to take my word on it.

TV:

Hell's Kitchen: If you like cooking shows, reality competitions, and angry British men, then this is a show for you! Lots of bleeped out swears makes for a fantastical good time.

Video Games:

Zelda, The Wind Waker: This game is very addictive, very tricky, and very fun. Be prepared to spend some long hours on this one, since it is nearly impossible to put down. A big ocean world is calling, grab your sail matey.

Movies:

300: Aww man! You just gotta see this one! Hack and slash like in Roman times, only this is Greek. If you get a chance to see side by side visuals of the movie and the graphic novel, its almost identical. This movie was stunning.

Music:

Tenacious D, The Pick of Destiny Sound Track: I saw the movie, and it didn't move me like I thought it would. The soundtrack makes up for all of this. It's basically all the music from the movie. Awesome, rockapoo!

Books:

Teleportation, the Impossible Leap: This book is fascinating. Be prepared for a history lesson though, it starts off with a few chapters on the complete history of quantum physics, and computer science. If you want something full of hard science juices, this is the one for you.

TV:

Jeopardy: What is a classic that can't go wrong?

Video Games:

Shadow of the Colossus: Wow! If you have to spend six or so hours of your life playing a video game, this is it. The game itself was fairly redundant, but not too much so that you would want to stop playing. It was just the right length, not so long that you wish it'd end, but also not to short to leave you asking, "Is that all?" The real jewel about this game is the ending. Honestly, it is probably the best ending to a video game I have ever experienced. You definitely get surprised. Aside from the fun game play, great ending, and unique goal, the environments are massive, and beautiful. 10 stars.

Movies:

Lucky Number Slevin: The best part of this movie was that I almost had no idea what was going on until the very end, and it was a good thing. This was probably in my top five movies of the year. It was action packed, halarious, and confusing. A definite must see.

Music:

Toby Keith, Greatest Hits Volume 2: If you like good humored, in your face country music, then this is the one for you. You can't go wrong with songs about drinking and fighting crime featuring Willie Nelson.

Books:

Eregon: This book is awsome! There's already a movie coming out for it, and a video game. The book is lord of the rings calaber, with much less drag. Rarely a dull moment, which is more than I can say for A Long-expected Party.

TV:

Friday Night Lights: Who would have thought the lives of high school football players was so seedy? It must be a Texas thing. I had my doubts about the show before it came out, but I do enjoy it. I wish the story would progress a little faster though, because every episode is starting to be the same.

Video Games:

Morrowind: This game takes a long time to beat, but it sure is fun to play (not to watch). It is a very in depth RPG, with a different battle system than most RPGs. You actually do all the swinging, rather than just saying attack. Hack and slash meets rpg, with a never ending storyline and open ends.

Movies:

Walk the Line : The original all american bad ass is Jonny Cash. Who knew he got addicted to drugs because of Elvis? This was probably the best movie I saw in 2005. Definitely a must see, maybe even buy.

Music:

A User's Guide to They Might be Giants : It has all the greats that everyone knows and loves. Highly recommended if you like wacky, but not too wacky, music.

Books:

Icewind Dale Trilogy : Everything is better in trilogy form! If you liked Lord of the Rings, this series is perfect for you. Follow some fantasy guys on an adventure. There's even a panther!

TV:

Iron Chef : The best game show on TV. I guess it's not really a game show, but it is good. Chefs competing in different styles of cooking, and using a special surprise ingredient for the theme of the dishes. Someday the secret ingredient will be human blood.

Video Games:

007, From Russia with Love : Another fantastic Bond game. This one follows the movie "From Russia with Love" as the story, with fantasticly similar cut scenes. Never have I seen computer animation look so much like a real movie. If you like third person shooters and the greatest Bond of them all, Sean Connery, this game is for you.
